My comments include: Hi, I have always been interested in my families history and whether it were my ancestors who decided to go to the "new world" and whether Walter Chiles is a ancestor. Wouldn't that be fun. who knows! regards, David Chiles.

My comments include: This a.m. in my housecoat, I stumbled upon personal research of John CHILDS of Wentzville, MO, a first cousin of my first cousin, Mary Norma CHILDS, dau of Oliver Norman CHILDS, b Neely's Landing, Cape Girardeau, MO, ~1911, son of Arthur Pierce CHILDS and Nora Alice DUNN, and of Alpha Odessa EDMONDSON. I did a Google search on the Kemp House and found you. I also found old notes of mine: Gonce and Wynne Genealogy by Barbara Gonce Clepper, 1986, and Tidewater Virginia Families: Generations Beyond, Ch 9, The Chiles Family, by Virginia Lee Hutcheson Davis, 1998, in Genealogy, Dallas Public Library. Recently I discovered James R. Peters of St Louis, MO., a McCLARD researcher of note. I am anxious to sign in and explore your site and bio. We will have dinner today with Mary Norma CHILDS Duncan b 1947, reared in Comanche, Texas, res of Richardson, Dallas Co., Texas. I know I will enjoy your site. My comments include: You have put together the cleverest site I've ever seen! Congratulations! It was impossible for me to pick a favorite. Of all the Chiles sites I've found, this is the best even though it ends early on. (I had typed W.B. Cridlin on Google, after finding his name in some old papers of Virginia genealogy.) Just a couple VERY minor suggestions: As a half-Texan (my maternal great-grandmother was a Chiles, the first white child born in Burleson Co.), I knew that Boerne was in Texas, but I doubt if all your viewers would know that. You might want to consider adding TX. Also, in the 1st paragraph of "Brian and Jaime's new future homesite", I think you may have omitted a word. "...home on near Boerne..." doesn't sound quite right. What's it on? And in the 5th line, did you mean "nuisance"? I don't think there is such a word as nuisant. I "inherited" a lot of genealogical files on the death of my mother in 2000 (aged 98+ and in Beaumont, by the way). Her aunt, May Higgason Dickens, was the family historian and at one time a professor of history at Intermountain Union College in Helena, MT (in 1923) and later Texas A&I in Kingsville. Aunt May said that she'd traced the family back to Eleanor of Aquitaine as you have. Unfortunately, she didn't pass on her papers!! The other half of me is Pennsylvanian and I've been concentrating recently on my Snyder side since I live in the northwestern county where most of them settled. Again, congratulations on an outstanding site. -Betty
