    The Descendants of David Hyatt and Ruth Horne


    I. David Hyatt
        David married Ruth Horne. On page 193 of "Captain Bill", Book Three, 1990, by Robert J. Stevens, says that David came to Chester Co., SC, from Edgecombe Co., North Carolina. He wrote his will in 1806, naming Elizabeth, Mary, Elijah and David as children and his Culp grandchildren: Polly, Ruth, David, Peter and William. The 3 known child of David Hyatt and Ruth Horne are as follows:

    II. Elijah Hyatt

        Elijah was born on 7/10/1778 and died on 11/19/1846 in Chester, South Carolina. He is buried in Jordan Cemetary, Chester County, South Carolina. He married Hannah Hyatt Kulp on 4/10/1806. She was born 6/02/1788 and died 9/22/1853 in South Carolina. They are both buried in Jordan Cemetary, Chester, South Carolina. The 13 children of Elijah Hyatt and Hannah Kulp are as follows:

    III. David Hyatt

        David was born 8/15/1811 in Chester, South Carolina. He married Julianna Susanna McFadden on 9/28/1830. She was born on 5/17/1812 and died on 9/18/1876 in Chester South Carolina. She is buried in Jordon's Old Burying Field, Chester County, South Carolina. The 1 child of David Hyatt and Julianna McFadden is as follows:

    IV. Issac Mcfadden Hyatt

        Issac was born 6/10/1831 in Lancaster, South Carolina. He died on 2/27/1881 in Lancaster, South Carolina and is buried in Jordan Cemetary in Chester County, South Carolina. He married Martha Jane Edwards. She was born on 4/05/1835 in Lancaster, South Carolina and died on 3/10/1881 in Lancaster, South Carolina and is buried in Jordan Cemetary in Chester County, South Carolina. There is some documentation (Chester Newspaper, March 9, 1911) that states that Issac served in the Civil War b/w the states as Sergeant in Company A,17th SC Volunteers. Still looking for more proof. The 8 children of Issac McFadden Hyatt and Martha Edwards are as follows:

    V. Julia Hyatt

        Julia was born on 3/04/1855 and died 6/28/1918 in South Carolina. He is buried in Elmwood Cemetary, Fort Lawn, South Carolina. She married Joseph Robert Turner in 1876. He was born on 12/28/1848 and died on 10/12/1927 in South Carolina.
       Joseph was a deacon/member of the Ft. Lawn Baptist Church for 20 years. Julia was also a long time member of the Fort Lawn Baptist Church in Fort Lawn, South Carolina.
    **My HYATT line ends here with Julia Hyatt and becomes TURNER. Julia and Joseph had 15 children, but they can be seen on the Turner page. Please click on the underlined TURNER link above to continue this line with Joseph Robert Turner.
