She is the daughter of Balthazar Negely, Sr. (b. ca. 1670 in Oberhasle, Bern, Switzerland and died Bef. 1742 in Oberhasle, Bern, Switzerland) and Anna (d. 3/14/1758 in Orangeburg Co. , South Carolina).

John departed Switzerland on 3/13/1735 and arrived in South Carolina on 7/13/1735. There has been some evidence that his son, Christian, was a Private in the Revolutionary War, but I haven't been able to find concrete proof as of yet. Also Margaret immigrated on 10/14/1742 with her 3 brothers and one sister.

According to documents of Inabinet & Co., John aided in the building of a railroad and was contracted for its entire construction of approx. 5 miles. A copy of page 21 from the "Magazine of the Southern Rail Road Co.", published in late 1956 or early 1957, names a railroad station as listed as Inabinet's.
There is also evidence that John served in the Revolutionary War in Jacob Rumph's Company, Orangeburg District, commanded by Col. William Russell Thomson. It is said that he was a member of Company I, Thomson's Regiment, South Carolina. Again, I have not been able to find concrete evidence of this information as of yet.

Levi was a Methodist Minister at Prospect Methodist Church in Jamison, Orangeburg County, South Carolina. According to Georgie Lefvengahl, his bible is in the home of his three granddaughters, who live very near the intersection of Hwy. 22 and Interstate Hwy. 26.
