My comments include: My maiden name is Edwards. I am tring to do genealogy, but am having a VERY difficult in tracing my Edwards family. They lived in Scott and Lee Counties in Virginia. I had a distant cousin that lived in or around the Spartanburg, South Carolina area named George. Names I am familiar with in my family are Albert Jackson, Daniel, Joseph and George Washington Edwards. After that I am totally lost. I do know that George or Joseph possibly moved into Virginia from North Carolina or South Carolina but have no idea where or who their ancestors were.

My comments include: Out of curiousity, I decided to put my last name into the search engine. On my way to Austria recently, I ran into a man, Curtis Moore, I believe. He gave me a brief family history lesson - born and reared in Alabama. (His father's generation dropped the "r" at the end.) As for my family, we reside in Atlanta, but my father is from Orangeburg, SC. I'm interested in learning more about the Moorer family. It's been fun!

My comments include: Read with interest regarding Walter Chiles Jr. and Walter Chiles Sr., although I had them down as Walter Chiles III and Walter Chiles II. Walter Chiles Sr. is is my 8 great-grandfather. I have grown interested because I am trying to prove that I am DAR and followed the line up using Joanne Chiles Eakin's book, Walter Chiles of Jamestown. John Chiles is my patriot, serving in the Revolutionary War from Nov 1778-Sept 1781, residence, Bedford County, VA. John is Walter Sr's great great grandson. Are you aware of any DAR members in this line? Johns great-grandaughter is Amelia Jane Chiles. She is my great great grandmother on my mothers side. Continued success on your awesome site! My comments include: Very interested in lineage of KOLB surname. It is an unusual name, and I've got a little information, but a lot of "blanks" to fill in here and there. My mother was a KING, father Duane KOLB, Paternal Grandfather Donald Clarence KOLB. As far as I know, most of my Kolb and King ancestors settled in Pennsylvania and New York. I have heard that some went to Ohio, Delaware, and New Hampshire, but I'm not sure. My paternal grandmother was a GUNN from Choconut Center PA, and she was born in 1902. She told me that her parents and grandparents lived in that area all their lives. Any information or feedback is welcome. Your website is very interesting and constructed well.
