    Descendents of Johanes Seagle and Margaret (Reib) Reep:


    I. Johanes Seagle

      Johanes was born in 1740 in Germany and died Aft. 1810 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. He is buried in Daniels Cemetary, Lincoln County, North Carolina. He married Margaret (Reib) Reep sometime before 1765. They came over from Germany to America on the Ship "Brig john", on October 19, 1736. No connection has been determined of Margaret Reep with any known Reeps, but there is speculation that she may be a sister of Adolph Reep. The 6 children of Johanes and Margaret are as follows:

    II. John Seagle, II

      John was born September 24, 1765 and died August 26, 1830 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. He married Barbara Ascherbrenner on November 27, 1792. The 3 known children of John and Barbara are as follows:

    III. Noah Seagle

      Noah was born April 27, 1833 in Catawba County, North Carolina and died May 20, 1864 in Richmond, Virginaa. Noah resided in Catawba County and enlisted in Wayne County at age 30, February 20, 1863, for the war. He was with Company B, 23rd Regiment, N.C. He was accounted for until he deserted on June 3, 1863 and then returned to duty on September 27, 1863. He died in a Richmond hospital, May 20, 1864 of febris typhoides. He married Anna Elizabeth Rockett on November 19, 1833 and she died in Burke County, North Carolina. The 6 known children of Noah and Anna are as follows:

    IV. Daniel Augustus Seagle

      Daniel was born June 03, 1857 and died in December 04, 1892 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He is buried in St. Johns Luthern Church, Catawba County, North Carolina. He married Mary Ann Kathryn Kahill on July 18, 1878. She was born January 20, 1860 and died November 16, 1939 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She is also buried in St. Johns Luthern Church, Catawba County, North Carolina. The 5 known children of Daniel and Mary are as follows:

  •   Robert Lee Seagle   b. 1879   d. 1936
  •   Albert Claude Seaglee   b. 1884   d. 1963

    V. Lillie Alice Seagle

      Lillie was born April 18, 1882 in North Carolina and died in June 08, 1953 in Catawba County, Newton, (Rt. #2)North Carolina. She is buried in Friendship Methodist Church, Catawba County, Newton, (Rt. #2)North Carolina. She married Forney Alexander Lackey in 1895. He was born 1874 and died February 15, 1942 in Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. He is also buried in Friendship Methodist Church, Catawba County, Newton, (Rt. #2)North Carolina. They had 12 children.
