    The Descendents of William Stone


    I. William Stone

        William was born in 1645 and died 1/31/1706/07 in Totuskey Creek, Virgina. He married Sarah Howard in 1671 in Virginia. She was born abt. 1645 in Farnham,Rappahannock,Virginia and died 5/01/1717 in Richmond, Virginia. Sources Used for William Stone include:

    II. William Stone, Jr.

        William was born 1680 in Richmond, Virginia and died 4/21/1749 in Amelia, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Dennett in June in Virginia. She was born on 6/13/1698 in St Peters Parish, New Kent, Virginia and died in 1718 in Virginia.

    III. Philip Stone

        Philip was born on 1/10/1714 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond, Virginia and died in 1781 in Johnston, North Carolina. He married Margaret who was born in 1720 in Richmond, Virginia and died in 1785.
    The 2 known children of Philip Stone and Margaret are as follows:

    ** We actually descend from both of these children, Austin and Mary. Mary Stone and Jacob Bartell, Sr. had a son named William Bartell, who married his first cousin Senea Stone, Austin Stone's child below. As a result, Senea and William Bartell share Phillip Stone above as their grandfather and Margaret as their grandmother from their mother's side of the family. ** (See more below)


    IV. Austin Stone

        Austin was born 7/12/1748 in Georgetown District, Craven County, South Carolina and died on 7/30/1818 in Marion County, South Carolina. He is buried at Old Landing Cemetery, Shiminally Rd Pamplico, SC 29583. He married Elizabeth Singletary bef. 1772 in South Carolina. She was born on 2/17/1751 and died in 1819 in Georgetown,,South Carolina. Austin Stone served in the militia under general Francis Marion during 1780 & 1781 as a private. He also served in the Britton's Neck Regiment under Col. Hugh Giles. He was at the fall of Charleston. We are currently applying for membership into the Daughters of the American Revolution through his bravery since we are his direct descendents.

        Senea was born 11/30/1794 in Marion County, South Carolina and died bef. 1850 in Marion County, South Carolina. She married William Bartell Bef. 1815 in Marion County, South Carolina. He was born on 5/03/1789 in Marion County, South Carolina and died on 12/15/1862 in Marion County, South Carolina.
