He married Anna Margaret Fraunfelder on October 01, 1726 in Illnau, Zurich, Switzerland. She was born ca. May 04, 1701 in Illnau, Zurich, Switzerland and died in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. Hans was the first to immigrate to South Carolina in 1737. The 9 known children of Hans and Anna are as follows:

    VI. John Whetstone
       John was born 1751 in Orangeburg, South Carolina and died in 1811 in Autauga County, Alabama. John is listed in Captain Jacob Rumph's Militia. Some researchers list Anne Inabinet and Marie DeBardeleben as only descendants of him and his wife. This statement perhaps is based upon two letters written in 1846 by Rev. Jacob Whetstone. There are other descendants that Jacob didn't reveal in those letters. He married Elizabeth Horger. She was born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The 6 known children of John and Elizabeth Horger are as follows:

       Ann Margaret was born 9/28/1786 in Orangeburg, South Carolina and died 5/12/1859 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She married Reverand Andrew Inabinet ca. 1803. They joined the Episcopal Church in 1804 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was born 5/03/1783 in South Carolina and died 7/28/1839 in South Carolina.
